Job description

We are seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to support a mission-critical enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, highly available Linux environments while supporting operations, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and improving system performance across enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Linux systems administration, AWS cloud technologies, and enterprise infrastructure management. This position works closely with development teams, Enterprise Services, and external stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable identity and access management services. Responsibilities * Provide Tier II support by troubleshooting and resolving complex customer-facing technical issues * Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for operational incidents and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability * Collaborate with development teams to establish feedback loops that improve application stability and operational performance * Monitor system health, user metrics, and infrastructure performance while implementing proactive measures to maximize availability * Develop automation scripts and operational playbooks using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages * Install, configure, administer, and maintain Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) software across multiple environments * Work closely with Enterprise Services to ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and operational requirements * Interface directly with customers and technical teams to diagnose and resolve authentication, authorization, and access-related issues * Analyze complex system workflows and identify opportunities to optimize performance, scalability, and operational efficiency * Create and maintain system engineering documentation, including architecture diagrams, network diagrams, and data flow documentation * Participate in Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), change management activities, and operational readiness reviews * Support cloud infrastructure and enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) services across development, test, and production environments Required Qualifications * Must posses an active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance * Must be willing and able to obtain a polygraph * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline * 4-6 years of experience as a Linux Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar technical role * Strong Linux systems administration experience * Experience supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, Reserved Instances, and related cloud services * Experience troubleshooting network-related issues across OSI Layers 4-7 * Experience creating and maintaining systems engineering documentation, including network diagrams and data flows * Experience using Agile collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket * Strong understanding of Linux infrastructure management best practices * Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Desired Qualifications * Experience with Identity Federation, Single Sign-On (SSO), and authentication technologies including SAML, OAuth, OIDC, Kerberos, and Common Access Cards (CAC) * Experience with Oracle Identity and Access Management products, including Oracle Access Manager (OAM), Oracle Unified Directory (OUD), and Oracle WebLogic * Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments * Experience with Bash, Python, or other scripting languages * Experience with LDAP directory services * Experience with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) * Experience supporting AWS cloud-native and hybrid cloud architectures * Familiarity with cross-domain architectures and secure enterprise environments * Experience implementing automated testing, monitoring, and operational health checks * Experience participating in Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Change Management processes * #CJ Fantom Corp is a Software Development, Agile Cloud, Software Development, Cyber Security (Risk Management, Assessments & Authorization (A&A)), Data, AI Platform (Computer Vision Models), Podcasting Media Services, and IT Services provider.
