    What is Landstar?

    Location: Onsite in Jacksonville, FL
    Schedule: Monday - Friday, 20 hours per week (8-hour day on Friday required)
    Salary: $15 per hour
    What work will you perform?
    You will provide professional level support to the International and Air Operations department while gaining real world experience. This internship is meant for juniors and seniors majoring in International Business Administration or Logistics. Your polished written communication skills will aid you in your daily interactions with agents. Your ability to learn software systems quickly will help you be successful in this internship.
    Essential Responsibilities:
    • Execute the systems set up of new customers and vendors
    • Finalize shipment files
    • Produce revenue and volume reports for management
    • Produce reports on purchased transportation
    • Produce corporately required reports
    • Provide rate quotation assistance

    Required Minimum Experience and Education:
    • Juniors or Seniors currently enrolled in university level programs with course load focus/majors in International Business Administration and/or Logistics

    Preferred Experience and Education:
    • Previous office environment work or internship experience

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Good working knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities and seaports.
    • Computer skills including MS Office applications
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Must be able to multi-task
