Education: BS in Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering
Clearance: Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
Responsibilities
Prepare test plans, coordinate with test facilities, provide test execution oversight, analyze test data and prepare final test reports
Perform climatic, vibration, mechanical shock, electromagnetic effects, bench testing of electronic devices, and safety and reliability testing
With proper training, must be willing to be in the presence of and handle hazardous devices
Resolve test-related technical issues and support failure and analysis activities
Data collection, reduction, analysis, and presentation
Ability to travel
Basic Qualifications for Systems Test Engineer 2
BS in Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field
Proficiency with data analysis tools such as MS Excel, Matlab, SciPy, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications for Systems Test Engineer 2
Experience with one or more of the following: climatic, vibration, mechanical shock, Electromagnetic Effects (EME), and Insensitive Munitions (IM) Testing
Experience using test equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, digital acquisition systems, etc.
Understanding of energetic testing, components, and materials
Familiarity with one or more of the following: MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-331, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-2105, JOTP-052 and JOTP-053
Experience using commercial and/or government test facilities for environmental, EME, or energetic test activities
Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
