Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Contracts & Claims Manager to support global capital sourcing activities for large and medium-scale CAPEX projects. This role will be responsible for contract strategy, commercial management, supplier negotiations, claims management, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex construction or engineering contracts, working with EPC/EPCMV contractors, and supporting major capital projects in regulated industries.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support project procurement and contracting strategies.
  • Manage commercial aspects of CAPEX projects, including contracts, cost control, claims, and change management.
  • Review contract terms, identify risks, and support project teams with contractual matters.
  • Lead contract negotiations, amendments, extensions, and change requests.
  • Manage contractor claims, disputes, variations, and settlement activities.
  • Protect company contractual rights and ensure supplier obligations are fulfilled.
  • Support preparation of claim documentation, responses, and negotiation strategies.
  • Manage supplier performance, compliance, and relationship activities.
  • Support supplier scorecards, commercial audits, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams.
  • Support arbitration, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution activities when required.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in contracts management, commercial management, claims management, or related roles.
  • Experience supporting major construction, engineering, or CAPEX projects.
  • Strong background managing contract changes, variations, claims, and negotiations.
  • Experience working with EPC/EPCMV contractors preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement contract strategies that deliver business value.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, or similar environments preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Quantity Surveying, Cost Consulting, or related field required.
  • Master's degree (MBA/MS) preferred.
