    Job Brief
    Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer for our client. This position utilizes SolidWorks to create assemblies and subassemblies for machines, material handling, and conveyor systems. Responsibilities include generating fabrication and assembly drawings to clearly communicate design intent, designing components that balance cost efficiency and functionality, and analyzing test data to optimize and troubleshoot designs.
    What’s a Typical Day Like?
    • Utilize SolidWorks to create assemblies and subassemblies for machines, material handling, and conveyor systems.
    • Generate fabrication/assembly drawings to communicate design intent effectively.
    • Design components to meet cost requirements while ensuring functionality and efficiency.
    • Analyze data gathered from testing to optimize designs and troubleshoot issues.
    • Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and equipment lists for designed modules.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure successful implementation of designs.
    What Are the Requirements of the Job?
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred, but not required.
    • No more than 2 years of experience in mechanical design; Co-op experience is acceptable.
    • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
