Job description

At IAP LLC, the Campaign/PUP Technician is responsible for inspecting vehicles according to manufacturer's requirements and according to PDI checklist and updated bulletins.
Essential Duties:
  • Perform interior checks for fit and finish, electrical and mechanical inspections of accessories and lights.
  • Perform exterior inspection for body damage or poor fit.
  • Complete PDI Check sheet and other paperwork in an efficient and thorough manner.
  • Inspect the exterior paintwork for defects or damage.
  • Work one on one with the manufacturer.
  • Perform wet sand, high-speed buff, and polish vehicles.
  • Complete small paint touch-ups.
  • Work with detail department on problems found.
  • Make judgement calls on the severity of identified defects / problems.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned including travel to offsite facilities.
  • SHIFT: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm with possible overtime and weekend work as directed by business need.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6+ months of automotive technical training or mechanical experience
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
  • Experience operating automatic and straight (manual) shift vehicles

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must have own tools and willingness to maintain the tools necessary to complete daily tasks
  • Experience in an auto port processing environment

Physical Working Conditions:
  • Work in tight spaces and congested quarters.
  • Lift, push, and or pull up to 40lbs.
  • Extended periods of standing, kneeling and bending.
  • Maneuver a 30 lb. compressor into tight quarters and secure in proper position.
  • Work in varying climates as well as be exposed to outdoor elements such as heat, cold, rain, and other conditions
