    Job Description

    The Associate Clinical Director of school services is responsible for overseeing staff and students within a defined geographic region and/or specific service line. This role brings clinical expertise, leadership, and strategic insight to support the success of five key stakeholder groups:
    • Organization: Promote our brand, reputation, culture, and business results
    • School Districts: Ensure quick service of students, ensuring positive impact on student progress and compliance with IEP and district requirements
    • Assigned Staff: Support individualized professional development and success, as appropriate for their level of experience and stage in clinical progression
    • Assigned Students: Sustain high quality clinical practice, impactful student progress, excellent customer service and support from all team members
    • Assigned Caregivers: Demonstrate ability to build and maintain strong, respectful, and collaborative relationships with caregivers to support student success
    The impact of the daily work of the Associate Clinical Director of school services optimizes these business results:
    • Student Progress & Customer Satisfaction timely launch of services with highly trained staff focused on quality clinical programming and efficacy
    • Employee Satisfaction & Retention minimizing turnover, recruiting, and training costs, and maximizing success and professional development of the clinical team
    • Clinical and Operational KPIs resulting delivery of high-quality ABA school clinical services and positive operational contribution by tactical management of scale, utilization, supervision ratios, and team member productivity
    This position reports to the Regional Clinical Director of School Services.

    Compensation:  $95,000- $105,000 
                                   Shared rewards opportunities available. 

    This position may require driving 30 to 60 (or more) miles a day when conducting quality control, supervision and consultation in the field, as well as occasional travel outside of regular business hours to serve as a company representative at conferences (internal and industry) and in new markets in development.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Provide clinical leadership to territory staff, delivering high-quality supervision and consultation that aligns with IDEA, California Ed Code, and each student's IEP.
    • Conduct or oversee FBAs and develop individualized, function-based behavior intervention plans.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure behavior plans have social validity and complement other IEP services.
    • Establish robust measurement systems to evaluate treatment effectiveness; recommend fidelity and data-accuracy checks as needed.
    • Analyze student data and adjust treatment protocols to accelerate progress on IEP goals.
    • Deliver on-site supervision to Intercare team members, coordinate with school personnel, and ensure compliance with school and administrative expectations.
    • Lead new case launches and support teams during start-up.
    • Maintain thorough documentation in Welligent and internal practice-management systems.
    • Complete assessments and reports within required timelines.
    • Attend IEP and staffing meetings and ensure all service recommendations comply with IDEA and FAPE.
    • Provide coverage and advanced consultation during staff transitions, leaves, or complex clinical situations.
    • Mentor and support territory staff, fostering professional growth.
    • Develop and deliver training with Behavior Skills Training (BST): discussion, modeling, practice, and feedback.
    • Prepare management reports on key clinical and operational metrics.
    • Collaborate with leadership on new programs and special projects; assist in recruiting and interviewing Program Managers.
    • Communicate promptly and professionally with Intercare employees, clients, and service partners.
    • Stay current on research and trends in ASD, ABA, special education, and OBM.
    • Represent Intercare ethically to clients, funders, and industry partners.
    • Keep accurate client records, securing all required consents.
    • Document supervision per BACB standards, track RBT supervision hours, and serve as RBT Requirements Coordinator.
    • Resolve high-level issues with families, district staff, and ICT colleagues.
    • Monitor clinical documentation (e.g., session notes, appointment conversions) and ensure completion.
    • Enforce ICT and regulatory policies within the territory.
    • Optimize scheduling and utilization in partnership with Client Services; reduce cancellations and non-billable time.
    • Manage the rollout of company initiatives and policies.
    • Facilitate onboarding and transitions, using BST to reinforce competencies and standards.
    • Drive improvements in KPIs (BI and supervisor productivity, utilization, supervision ratios, site contribution, scale).
    • Adapt team structure in response to territory KPIs to support organizational goals.
    • Ensure data and reporting systems are clinically appropriate, efficient, and compliant.
    • Foster collaboration between school staff and families through regular progress updates and caregiver engagement.
    • Render an average of 0-3 billable hours per day, depending on caseload.
    • Directly supervise 6-8 Program Managers (School Services).
    • Perform other duties and track additional KPIs as assigned.
    Job Skills:
    • Knowledge of the science behind Applied Behavior Analysis and application in the school setting
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or equivalent, including Excel and graphing.
    • Excellent time management skills: billable vs non-billable, onsite/direct vs offsite/indirect hours
    • Excellent relationship management skills, customer service orientation, collaboration and team player attitude with all Customers (colleagues, student families and school districts)
    • Adaptability/Flexibility with case, staff, and organizational transitions

    • Maintain board certification (BCBA), including CEU credits, which can all be obtained internally.
    • Remain up to date on and follow all BACB guidelines regarding supervision of BCBA/BCaBA candidates.
    • Follow all BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts and maintain HIPAA compliance.
    • Maintain required training. May include state and funding specific trainings, such as CPR BLS training, physical management training (as applicable), and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training.
    • Must clear DOJ/FBI background check and exclusion screening processes, prior to and during employment.
    • Must provide proof of absence of Tuberculosis (TB) at time of hire and every 4 years, or sooner as
    • required by funding sources, from last negative TB reading, and any additional follow-up testing.
    • Must provide immunization/immunity to Hepatitis B, Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps, Varicella, Pertussis (whooping cough).
    • Documentation of Physical Capability to Perform Services (with or without reasonable accommodation).
    • Permission to Disclose Health Screening Medical Information to request funding sources and complete background checks, as applicable

    Minimum Education or Training Equivalent to:
    • Licensed or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, or other state-recognized license (required).
    • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines: behavior analysis, education, psychology, or related field (education required; listed fields of study preferred).
    • 3+ years of extensive experience conducting BCBA tasks (i.e., data analysis, programming, assessments, supervision, etc.) and/or working with individuals impacted by pervasive developmental disorders (required), across varied student profiles.
    • 3+ years of supervisory/managerial experience
    • 3+ years of school services experience
