Electrical Engineer III – Elevate Your Career with Indotronix
Location: Florence, SC 29501
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $47/hr (W2)
About the Role
Join Indotronix as an Electrical Engineer III and play a pivotal role in supporting Otis New and Existing Product Elevator programs. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will ensure the successful delivery of complex elevator systems that meet stringent customer, functional, safety, and code requirements. This is an opportunity to work on innovative projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive meaningful impact in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements management and translate stakeholder needs into actionable sub-system specifications
- Conduct system integration studies, validation activities, and performance analyses for elevator systems
- Manage program timelines, ensuring timely delivery of all system documentation and milestones
- Develop and implement test plans, code requirement studies, and prototyping for sub-system enhancements
- Ensure compliance with local and national codes through comprehensive documentation
- Execute engineering change notices and support continuous improvement in engineering processes
- Collaborate with multiple value streams and stakeholders for seamless project execution and compliance
- Perform root cause analysis, DFMEA, DFM, and support product support activities to resolve technical challenges
- Create detailed system wiring diagrams using E3 or similar tools
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of engineering experience in system-level architecture and integration
- Expertise in control systems, machines, drives integration, and electrical wiring
- Proven ability with engineering change management and documentation
- Strong experience in performance analysis, requirements engineering, and root cause analysis (DFMEA, RCFA)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Excel
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and creating wiring diagrams
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with elevator control systems, rescue systems, and elevator code compliance
- High power transformer integration and qualification
- Experience with PCB assembly, procurement, and design
- Skilled in project documentation for compliance (test reports, drawings, specifications)
- Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail
- Experience with motor drives, electric motors, and stakeholder alignment
