    Job description

    The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) System Lead serves as the primary Finance business owner and change leader for Microsoft D365 at Hotwire Communications. This role provides deep functional expertise in D365 Finance and leads the identification, definition, and implementation of system driven change across Accounting, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and related finance functions.

    D365 Finance & Operations Functional Leadership

    • Serve as the Finance F&O functional lead for Microsoft Dynamics 365, with ownership of Accounting, Accounts Payable, and related finance processes.
    • Own the development of business requirements and functional decision-making for D365 Financials, ensuring alignment with standardized and scalable business processes; hand off requirements to IT.
    • Lead Finance participation in ERP transitions, upgrades, releases, and enhancements, including migrations from legacy systems.
    • Identify functional gaps and lead resolution efforts by defining needs for configuration changes, process redesign, or policy updates.

    Requirements & Change Identification

    • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and control enhancement enabled by D365.
    • Gather, document, and validate business requirements from Accounting, Accounts Payable, Finance, and Purchasing stakeholders.
    • Translate operational needs into clear, actionable functional requirements for technical and implementation teams.
    • Assess downstream and cross-functional impacts of system and policy changes

    Process, Policy, and System Enablement

    • Define and document future-state finance processes and policies aligned with D365 best practices.
    • Ensure D365 configurations accurately reflect approved business processes and internal control requirements.
    • Drive adoption of standardized workflows and system usage across Finance teams.
    • Support audit readiness, compliance, and governance through system-enabled controls and documentation.

    ERP Change & Integration Ownership

    • Serve as the primary Finance point of contact for all ERP changes and system integrations impacting the financial system across Hotwire.
    • Partner with IT and integration teams to ensure Finance requirements are fully represented and implemented.
    • Review, approve, and validate Finance impacts of integrations with systems such as Sitetracker, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Amdocs, and other enterprise platforms.
    • Ensure end-to-end financial process integrity across integrated systems.

    Training, Documentation, and Adoption

    • Develop and maintain process documentation, system guides, and training materials for Finance users.
    • Lead Finance end-user training and readiness activities.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Drive ongoing optimization and enhancement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
    • Gather user feedback to inform continuous system and process improvements.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related field
    • 10+ years of experience within Accounting and Finance organizations
    • 3-5+ years of experience in a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations functional role
    • Hands-on experience supporting or leading D365 implementations, upgrades, or major enhancements.
    • Strong Change management and stakeholder leadership capabilities
    • Ability to translate business requirements into system-enabled solutions
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Advances Excel proficiency

    Preferred:

    • Relevant Microsoft D365 certifications are a plus.
