Our Security Associates provide security coverage for the resort through regular patrols, monitoring, and response to incidents, ensuring the safety of guests, team members, and property assets.  The Security Associate plays a key role in both preventative safety measures and incident response, while delivering courteous, professional service in all guest interactions.

Schedule Details:

The Security Department operates seven days a week. You will be assigned to an eight-hour shift within operating hours, which includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct routine patrols of the property, including interior and exterior areas, to identify and address safety or security risks. 
  • Monitor and protect the property against theft, vandalism, fire hazards, and other safety concerns. 
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and guest concerns, taking appropriate action and notifying leadership or emergency services as needed. 
  • Investigate security incidents, accidents, and suspicious activity, and complete accurate and timely reports. 
  • Provide assistance to guests and team members, including directions, general support, and service related requests. 
  • Monitor access to the property, including key control, visitor access, and restricted areas. 
  • Maintain security logs, reports, and documentation in accordance with company standards. 
  • Support emergency response efforts, including first aid, CPR, and coordination with first responders. 
  • Identify and report safety hazards, equipment deficiencies, or operational risks. 
  • Assist with asset protection, including monitoring of deliveries, packages, and property equipment. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of all security related matters. 
  • Deliver all services with professionalism, discretion, and a guest focused approach.

  • 1+ Years Related Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid State of Hawaii Guard Card
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certificate
  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in high pressure or emergency situations. 
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to assess situations, use sound judgment, and respond appropriately to security or safety concerns. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests, team members, and external partners. 
  • Basic report writing and documentation skills. 
  • Ability to follow procedures and work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. 
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including walking, standing, and responding to incidents.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Associate's Degree or college diploma
  • 3+ Years Related Experience
  • Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience. 
  • Experience in a resort, hospitality, or luxury environment. 
  • Familiarity with security systems, surveillance equipment, and access control. 
  • Bilingual Japanese conversation skills.
