Job description

Job Summary
Position: Material Handler I
Schedule: 2nd Shift - Monday - Friday - 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM (based on business needs and job completions which could include overtime both during the week and on weekends)
Base Rate: $16.50/Hour ($1.00 shift differential)
Supports Operations by moving and stocking materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility.
Essential Job Functions *
  • Ability to use a hand scanner
  • Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
  • Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
  • Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
  • Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
  • Transfers finished products to designated areas
  • Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
  • Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
  • Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
  • Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
  • Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.
Operational Equipment
  • Hand-held RF Scanner, manual/motorized pallet jack

Work Environment
Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.
