- Shift / Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45 - 07:15)

Job Summary:
This is a contract position at a level 3 or 4 NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) with a minimum of 3 years of required experience in NICU care. The unit accepts first-time travelers and locals, with a 13-week contract duration. The role involves caring for premature infants (as low as 22 weeks gestational age), surgical infants, and infants with hypoxic injury, utilizing advanced equipment and therapeutic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to neonates in a level 3 or 4 NICU setting, maintaining ratios of 1:2-4 patients
- Monitor and manage premature infants (as low as 22 weeks gestation), surgical infants, and infants with hypoxic injury
- Perform therapeutic procedures including therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide administration, UAC/UVC placement, PCL placement, Broviac care, tracheostomy management, feeding tube management, and ostomy care
- Operate and maintain specialized NICU equipment including Tecotherm, BCPAP, Ram NC, Alaris IV pumps, Med Fusion feeding pumps, Servo ventilators, HFOV, Baby Leo, and Giraffe incubators
- Float as needed between Pediatrics, PICU, and nursery units caring for infants up to and including 12 months of age
- Use unit systems including Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR, and 4P for documentation and care coordination
- Work assigned weekend shifts: 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays during the 6-week period
- Complete 24 hours of unit orientation
- Wear navy blue or white scrubs per unit requirements
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a level 3 or 4 NICU
- Ventilator experience
- BLS certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Education Requirements:
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a level 3 or 4 NICU (DO NOT SEND if less than 3 years of NICU experience)
- Ventilator experience in neonatal care
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Night shift hours: 18:45 - 07:15 (12-hour shifts)
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
- No call requirement
- Maximum 7 days of RTO (Return to Origin) for AYA Auto Offer
- Weekend requirement: 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays during 6-week period
- Float requirement: Pediatrics/PICU/nursery caring for infants up to and including 12 months of age
- RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; call-offs or additional RTO on unit may result in contract cancellation and DNR (Do Not Rehire)
- Self-scheduling per unit needs

- Maximum 7 days RTO for AYA Auto Offer
- DO NOT SEND candidates with less than 3 years of NICU experience in a level 3 or 4 ICN
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
- Locals accepted with potential rate difference
