Where You Will Work Our Miami smelter and rod plant is nestled just 90 miles east of Phoenix. The smelter processes copper concentrate primarily from our company's Arizona copper mines and is the most significant source of sulfuric acid for our North American leaching operations.Arizona's Globe-Miamihistoric mining district offers natural beauty and a rich mining heritage. Provide leadership in safety, environmental compliance, and MSHA regulations. Complete work orders, order parts, and maintain accurate documentation. Develop solutions for mechanical issues and maintenance challenges.

Participate in audits, JSAs, and SOP development. Read blueprints and procure appropriate materials and resources. Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring To Freeport Six (6) years of experience in Machinist, Line Boring, Welding, or Boiler Maker crafts. Completion of required academic and practical competencies. Ability to pass a written assessment on skills, safety, and knowledge.

Proficiency in welding/cutting and operating lathes, milling machines, saws, and drill presses. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English. Experience with Komatsu Electric Shovels and Epiroc Diesel Drills preferred.

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and industrial conditions. Required to wear PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and more.

Must be able to stand, sit, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs. Required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation. Subject to pre-employment and ongoing drug testing per applicable laws.

Experience rebuilding machine pump parts What We Offer You The estimated pay range for this role is currently$31.00 - $41.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors
