Job description
HGA is seeking a Construction Survey Manager to support operations in Monroe, LA. The Construction Survey Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of surveying projects related to industrial construction stake-out and as-built initiatives. This role combines technical management with client-facing responsibilities, including business development. The Construction Survey Manager will oversee field crews and office staff, ensure high-quality deliverables, and build strong client relationships to support the firm's growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Survey Management
- Lead and manage survey teams, including field crews and office staff.
- Oversee scheduling, project budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Review and ensure accuracy of stake-out data and other deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and safety standards.
- Provide technical expertise in topographic and construction surveys.
Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Identify opportunities to expand industrial construction surveying services within the engineering firm's client base.
- Prepare and present proposals, estimates, and project scopes.
- Collaborate with business development and engineering teams to cross-sell services.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and train junior survey staff to grow technical and professional skills.
- Collaborate with engineering, planning, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in land surveying, with at least 3 in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS, total stations, and related technology.
- Proven track record of developing client relationships and securing work.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
