Job description

Job Overview

Fairview Range is hiring a Cross-Trained Registered Nurse (RN) for our Women's Health and Birth Center team in Hibbing, MN.

 

The Cross-Trained Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients. 

All core RNs within the unit are trained to Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and lactation support. Cross-Trained RNs are trained in Post-Partum and lactation support. Some RNs on the unit are Certified Lactation Consultants. We offer inpatient and outpatient lactation support services through IBCLC, CLC, and lactation trained RNs.

Schedule:  This is a cross-train position with hours as needed

  • 10 beds, including 4 private labor and delivery suites
  • More than 300 baby deliveries annually
  • IBCLC trained staff within department
  • Care team includes OB Physicians, Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians, Family Practice Physicians, CRNAs, RNs, Unit Assistants.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities

  • Performs a total systems assessment according to established policies (including physical, psychosocial and spiritual data) upon admission, as well as ongoing assessments.
  • Analyzes assessment data, identifies problems and develops the plan of care in collaboration with the patient, significant other and resource personnel.
  • Provides age specific direct patient care in collaboration with all disciplines according to standards of care.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Qualifications

  • Current RN working within Fairview. 
  • A preference will be given to those who have current BLS, current ACLS, and NRP.
  • Current RN licensure required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
