Job Summary:
ETalentNetwork is working with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) to find a Systems Administrator. In this role, you will manage and maintain IT systems, ensuring reliable access to archival data while supporting system performance, security, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Support user account management, permissions, and access controls.
• Help maintain system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Assist in applying security patches and updates to protect against vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with federal standards.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and incidents.
• Provide technical support to end-users and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Manage the Active Directory environment – OU's, GPO's, and user accounts
• Provide support for OS upgrades and security finding remediation
• Manage and provide support for the Microsoft Entra platform
• Manage and provide support for Sharepoint site administration
• Patch and deploy software to servers
• Manage MECM/SCCM environment/servers and deploy patches, updates, and applications from MECM/SCCM
• Manage and administer the VMWare virtual cluster and servers
• Manage and administer the Azure platform and server
Qualifications:
Required:
• Understanding of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
• Familiarity with virtualization, storage systems, and network basics.
• Familiarity with Identity Management platforms and principles – Active Directory, Entra, MIM.
• Familiarity and understanding of Sharepoint administration.
• Familiarity and understanding of Active Directory Administration – GPO's, OU, user accounts.
• Familiarity and understanding of SCCM/MECM – site collections, patching, software deployment, client administration.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred:
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified) are a plus.
