  • Escalate systemic issues, recurring failures, engineering concerns, or customer-impacting deficiencies to a Hyperscale Network Specialist III in accordance with established escalation procedures.
  • Provide day-to-day technical guidance, mentoring, and field support to Hyperscale Network Specialist I personnel.
  • Support customer walkdowns, commissioning activities, turnover inspections, and quality verification efforts.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives designed to improve productivity, audit accuracy, network quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain organized work areas, testing equipment, customer assets, and project documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of project objectives and customer requirements.
  • Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2 Optics.
What We Are Looking For
  • Education

    • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
    • OSHA 10 required.
    • Completion of all required customer onboarding and project-specific training.
    • Successful completion of customer system qualification requirements.

    Experience

    • 2-4 years of structured cabling, telecommunications, fiber optics, data center construction, network infrastructure, mission critical construction, or related technical field experience.
    • Experience independently performing structured cabling audits and troubleshooting.
    • Experience utilizing fiber optic testing equipment.
    • Experience supporting hyperscale data center projects preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to independently resolve standard network issues.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This role requires sitting, use of hands and arms, verbal communication, and occasional physical movement such as stooping or kneeling. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required to do so. The employee may also be required to work in tight and confined spaces.
