Retail Management Trainee

Join our team as a leader, a DIY enthusiast, and a champion for your community. At Valu Home Centers, you won't be stuck in an office. You'll be on the front lines, directly interacting with customers and leading your team to success. What You'll Do

As a Retail Management Trainee, you'll be the "Floor Manager" and the face of our store. You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading the team: Recruit, train, and mentor your fellow associates.
  • Providing exceptional customer service: Actively walk the sales floor, help customers, and ensure your team is providing world-class service.
  • Managing store operations: Oversee daily operations, maintain product inventory, and ensure the store meets company merchandising standards.
  • Staying on top of trends: Keep up with DIY and home improvement trends to better serve our customers.


Who You Are

We're looking for someone who is a true "people-person" and a natural leader. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion for providing a great customer service experience.
  • The ability to lead by example and mentor team members.
  • Excellent communication skills and an unwavering positive attitude.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to build professional relationships with customers and team members.
  • Prior experience in a retail, management, or supervisory role is a plus.
