Job description

  • Machine Design: Designs a complete and complex framework, sub-system, system or product.
  • Defines processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
  • Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses.
  • Cross functional interaction to create block diagrams, system safety strategies, and identify component requirements for software developers.
  • Participate and coordinate in design reviews, including FMEA and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Provides Subsystem design, documentation (schematics and assembly drawings), and packaging of sub-assemblies.
  • Manages design and drafting staff for engineering projects, monitoring schedules and budgets.
  • stakeholder management from marketing to supplier
  • Creates design project proposal, planning, man power calculation
Skills Required:
  • 10+ years in design & development of capital equipment, preferably Semiconductor
  • Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of mechanical system design engineer experience; or Master's Degree with 2 years of mechanical system design engineer experience. Degrees in mechanical, or systems engineering preferred.
  • Experience in High Vacuum components and clean room procedures.
  • Experience in gas and liquid fluid handling systems: piping, valves, flow control and measurement.
  • Experience in High Voltage components and applications.
  • Works with Pneumatic and cooling system components and controls.
  • Familiar with National Electric Code (NEC), ISO procedures, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.
  • Familiar with SEMI S2-0200, SEMI S8-0600, and CE certification.
  • General working knowledge of 3D CAD design tools. CREO and or Solid Works
  • Experience using engineering analysis tools (FEA, CFD etc) in the design process given strong consideration
  • Engineering change management, PLM experience added advantage.
