OverviewThe Electrical Maintenance Technician III supports field electrical maintenance activities, including electrical isolation (LOTO) and maintenance of lighting, air-conditioning systems, and motors. The role focuses on executing preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure high operational availability. This position typically reports to a supervisor and builds on the responsibilities of Levels I and II.
Responsibilities- Support electrical maintenance tasks in the field, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Perform scheduled preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize production impact.
- Work with external vendors and subcontractors when needed.
- Follow Management of Change (MOC) requirements for plant modifications.
- Apply technical skills efficiently while seeking opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and simplification.
- Uphold and promote strong SSHE (Safety, Security, Health, and Environment) standards.
- Use Observation Safety Techniques (OST) to report safe and unsafe behaviors.
- Participate in responsible waste management practices.
- Attend and contribute to daily operations shift meetings.
Qualifications- 3+ yrs. of Oil and Gas Electrical maintenance experience required.
- Current Journeyman or Master Electrician's license, TX is required.
- Relevant discipline certifications or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend solutions.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills, including working effectively without direct authority.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, and fit for duty and agility.
