    Level 3 Indirect Buyer (Contractor)

    We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Indirect Buyer to support procurement operations in a fast-paced aerospace environment. This contractor will manage end-to-end procurement of indirect materials and services, with a focus on Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, Engineering Technology/Information Technology (ET/IT) hardware, and aerospace-related goods and services.

    Level 3 Indirect Buyer Responsibilities

    • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including requisitions, purchase orders, RFQs, RFPs, competitive bid analysis, and supplier selection.

    • Procure COTS products, ET/IT hardware, computing and networking equipment, peripherals, test equipment, and aerospace-related materials and services.

    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to drive cost savings and supplier value.

    • Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, service, and compliance requirements.

    • Partner with engineering, IT, quality, and other stakeholders to understand technical specifications and ensure timely fulfillment.

    • Manage supplier relationships and resolve quality, delivery, and invoice issues.

    • Ensure procurement activities meet company policies, contractual requirements, aerospace quality standards, traceability requirements, and applicable regulations.

    • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and support audits and reporting.

    Level 3 Indirect Buyer Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

    • 5+ years of procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in indirect procurement.

    • Demonstrated experience procuring COTS products and IT/technology hardware.

    • Strong negotiation, sourcing, and supplier management skills.

    • Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Coupa.

    • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Level 3 Indirect Buyer Preferred Qualifications

    • Aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing experience.

    • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards and procurement compliance.

    • CPM, CPSM, or equivalent professional certification.

    • Strategic sourcing and category management experience.

    The successful Level 3 Indirect Buyer will combine procurement expertise, supplier management, strategic sourcing, and strong cross-functional collaboration to support critical aerospace operations.
