Job description

Consilio's Direct Hire Recruiting Team is partnering with an AmLaw 100 firm to identify a Payroll Tax Compliance Analyst to join its accounting team. While this position is fully remote, candidates must be based in DC, New York, or Boston to be considered. This role plays a critical part in overseeing multi-jurisdiction payroll tax compliance and ensuring accurate reporting, reconciliations, and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.

It's a key position supporting firmwide payroll operations in a complex, multi-state environment. Schedule: M-F, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Status: Exempt Key Responsibilities Review and validate payroll tax data across multiple jurisdictions Manage tax filings, payments, and related reconciliations Research and resolve agency notices and compliance matters Reconcile payroll tax reporting between internal systems and third-party providers Monitor legislative changes and implement system updates as needed Support internal and external audits Partner with Payroll leadership and General Ledger teams on tax variances Ideal Background 5+ years of payroll tax experience Strong multi-state payroll expertise Advanced Excel and analytical skills Experience with payroll/HRIS systems (Workday preferred) Accounting, business, or tax background (degree or equivalent experience) ELS Consilio Direct Hire Division staff's positions for Consilio clients and does not staff for internal corporate positions at Consilio.
