    Job description

    Company/Role Overview:

    CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Search has been retained by an Agriculture client to identify a Accountant to serve their team. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. This role will work closely with senior accounting staff and ownership, gradually assuming increased responsibility. The Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy, processing payroll and reporting, and preparing information for external accountants.



    What You’ll Do:

    • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions using Sage 50 and QuickBooks
    • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking
    • Process payroll, from timecards through quarterly and annual reporting, and related reconciliations
    • Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts regularly
    • Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for management review
    • Compile and organize information for external CPA firm for tax preparation and reviews
    • Research discrepancies and investigate variances to ensure accurate and complete records
    • Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks as needed in a small-business environment



    What You’ll Nee

    • Degree not required; experience in a related field is a plus
    • Prior experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable required; industry experience is flexible
    • Prior payroll processing and reporting experience required
    • Strong working knowledge of accounting software; experience with Sage 50 and/or QuickBooks preferrwd
    • Solid Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analys
    • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and investigative skil
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small team
