You will act as the onsite program representative-building strong relationships, educating customers on program value, guiding them through enrollment, and helping them successfully participate in demand response events. You will be the face of the program regionally, combining B2B sales capability, technical understanding, and genuine relationshipbuilding to drive enrollment and longterm satisfaction.

Ideal candidates are comfortable working autonomously, navigating ambiguity, and supporting program incubation efforts alongside a small, specialized team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain and grow a portfolio of mediumsized and large C&I customer accounts

    • Build strong relationships within the Eastern Washington and North Western Idaho business community

    • Encourage customer participation and help overcome enrollment barriers

    • Develop and deliver proposals tailored to customer needs and loadreduction opportunities

    • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for customer questions, concerns, and event participation support

    Demand Response Program Delivery

    • Educate customers on how DR events work and help them identify operational strategies (e.g., shifting production to offpeak hours) that reduce grid strain

    • Explain program requirements, incentives, and changes with clarity and professionalism

    • Verify implementation steps and ensure all customer paperwork is accurate and complete

    • Ensure customers understand expectations before, during, and after DR events

    Technical & Operational Support

    • Collaborate with engineering and program teams to evaluate technical requirements or changes

    • Record and track customer interactions, documentation, and status updates using approved systems

    • Support program operations by preparing sales forecasts, tracking participation metrics, and communicating updates to the Program Manager

    Territory Travel

    • Travel throughout Eastern Washington and North Western Idaho

    • Conduct onsite customer visits, assessments, and inperson engagement activities

    Key Skills

    • Strong B2B sales ability rooted in authentic relationshipbuilding

    • Understanding of the regional business community and local economic landscape

    • Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills

    • Ability to translate technical requirements into clear, practical explanations

    • Strong customerservice skills when working with facility managers and business owners

    • Ability to troubleshoot technical and operational issues

    • Strong documentation, organization, and reporting habits

    • Comfort with autonomous work and owning regional responsibilities

    • Ability to manage a large, mixedtier territory with professionalism and initiative

    Qualifications

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have:

    • 5-8 years of relevant industry experience (energy programs, demand response, utility programs, C&I account management, or technical sales)

    • Bachelor's degree preferred (relevant certifications may substitute for experience)

    • Comfort driving success in a new or rapidly evolving program environment

    • Enthusiasm for energy efficiency, demand response, and grid reliability
