Capital One Business Travel (COBT), the booking travel platform for Small/Medium Enterprises, as part of the Premium Products and Experiences (PPX) team, is one of the fastest-growing parts of the business, having seen exponential growth, and has an ambition to maintain that growth. The Strategy and Growth team is focused on driving multifaceted strategies to drive cardmember engagement and spend growth on the platform through various marketing initiatives to existing and prospective users. We are looking for a Marketing Senior Analyst to join our team to support building and delivering a performance-driven marketing strategy.

The role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy and vision for COBT's go to market strategy - building a holistic marketing strategy in partnership with our marketing partners, and identifying key marketing opportunities across different customer segments, channels, positioning/messaging, and treatments. In addition to supporting the build of COBT's holistic marketing strategy, you will act as the key liaison between COBT/Small Business Card (SBC) marketing, COBT strategy to drive ideation and execution of various offers. Of particular focus is on understanding and engaging our Field-managed customers in order to create the best possible travel experience that meets their needs, drives consideration and engagement, and ultimately travel spend by this group. This role will serve as a people leader for 1-2 analysts on the team who will lead functional analysis and marketing execution.

Role Specific Responsibilities:

  • Identify messaging / design target strategy: Partner with the insights team to deeply understand the target audience, validate product positioning and messaging, and act as the voice of both the customer and Capital One Business Travel to the organization

  • Support development of GTM strategy: In partnership with COBT marketing, build an E2E view of COBT's marketing strategy, including but not limited to: customer marketing journeys, segmentation, channel strategy, positioning, and key messaging

  • Channel Performance Analytics: Supporting analytics assessing ROI of different channels and develop perspective on COBT's GTM strategy across channels

  • Triggered Messaging Campaign: Lead triggered messaging campaigns and holistic strategy across different customer journeys and segments

  • Content Strategy: Partner closely with COBT Marketing teams to refine COBT positioning and customer-facing claims

  • Marketing Execution: Support COBT marketing partners in execution of and performance analysis of specific campaigns

  • Relationship Management: Serving as the lead point of contact for Card, Field, and Marketing teams to champion marketing goals and increase product usage

  • External analysis: Understand how competitors are evolving their product and messaging strategies, and build strategies that position us for success in the market

  • Event Strategy: Partnering with the Sponsorships team to develop and execute a high-impact conference and industry event strategy

As a Business Analysis Manager at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. You'll team with world-class professionals to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line. GeneralResponsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands

  • Leadership: May manage and develop 1-2 analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One

  • Product: Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product level modeling/analytics

  • Marketing: Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new go-to-market strategies

  • Credit Risk: Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis

  • Execution: Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently

  • Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability

  • Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytic marketing & credit risk management

  • Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: He/she should be a tenacious decisionmaker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business

  • Solid people leadership experience: Ability to build and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise. He/she should foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and be able to consistently deliver results

  • Strong executive communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Clear results orientation: display an intense focus on achieving bothshort and long termgoals. He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment

  • Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment. Previous consulting experience is a plus

BasicQualifications:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:

    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)

    • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in analysis

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services

  • 1+ year of experience in consulting

  • 2+ years of experience in people management

New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100 for Business Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
