City : Avondale State : Louisiana (US-LA) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number : 44820A Day in the Life:The Multi-Craft Mechanic safely performs mechanical and electrical maintenance activities to ensure proper operation of plant machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds to increase reliability and overall quality of production.Position Details:The current schedule for this role is day shift, Monday through Friday. Occasionally, overtime work is required to include nights, weekends, holidays, and call-ins.The starting hourly wage is $36.05 per hour.What You'll Be Doing:Demonstrates a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.Repairs and replaces PLC equipment, tanks, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, agitators, boilers, air compressors, valves, pipelines, and other plant equipmentFabricates and welds piping, pipe fittings, equipment, and machineryConducts preventative and predictive maintenance tasksTroubleshoots issues with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systemsPerforms laser alignments, vibration analysis; lubricate machinery, pumps, motors, agitators, etc.Repairs fire and safety alarms and systems as neededAssists E&I technicians when neededPerforms other duties as needed or assignedMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDMust have a minimum of five years of work experience in a related maintenance craft such as Industrial Mechanic, Welder, Pipefitter, Millwright, Electrician, or E&I TechAbility to contribute to Root Cause Failure analysis reviewsAbility to read and interpret various directives that may be presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format such as safety rules, operating instructions, drawings, etc.Experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or comparable ERP such as SAP is preferredMust be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call as neededMust have the ability to meet the physical demands of the position including but not limited to working at elevated heights, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 pounds.Preferred Qualifications:Related technical certificate(s) and/or Associate's degree is preferredKnowledge of NFPA70E rules and regulations for electrical safety is a plusBenefits:Health Benefits - Offering choices so you can enroll in medical, dental and vision plans that meet your individual needs.401(k) Retirement Plan - Investing in your future with an automatic 5% company contribution AND matching up to 4% of your contributions.Family Support - Supporting new and growing families by providing 6 weeks of 100% paid parental leave and fertility coverage.Tuition Reimbursement - Contributing to your education by reimbursing $5,000 of tuition expenses annually.Time Off - Providing generous vacation time for a healthy work-life balance.Less than 1 year: 10 days1 - 4 years: 12 days5 - 14 years: 17 days15-19 years: 22 days20+ years: 25 days*Time is accrued per pay period and based on an 8-hour shiftAt Bunge (NYSE: BG), our purpose is to connect farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
