Job description

Are you ready to be a vital part of a leading wholesale distributor of building and industrial products in the United States? BlueLinx (NYSE: BXC) is looking for a dedicated Production Operator  to join our dynamic team at our distribution center. If you thrive in a team-oriented environment that prioritizes safety and quality service, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do: 

  • Reading and writing English
  • General Math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Able to climb, reach, bend, and pull
  • Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk) 
  • Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products. 
  • Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment. 
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area. 
  • Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.  

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Ability to understand and follow directions 
  • Ability to work independently at times under pressure 
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting up to 75 lbs.  
  • Ability to read/comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc. 
  • Safe work record and stable work history

Headquartered in Marietta, Georgia, we have over 2,000 associates and distribute our comprehensive range of structural and specialty products to approximately 15,000 national, regional, and local dealers, as well as specialty distributors, national home centers, industrial, and manufactured housing customers. 

The fixed rate is $24.50 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations.
