Job description

Job Title: Licensed Behavioral Health Professional
Facility: Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center
Address: 8301 State Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19136, United States
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Pay Rate: $68 per hour
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Description:
We are seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional to provide mental health services within a correctional facility. The ideal candidate will be experienced in crisis intervention, assessments, and behavioral health treatment planning in high-stress environments.

Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional:

  • Performs individual and group therapeutic interven tions as appropriate.
  • Conducts psychosocial assessments and mental health intake evaluations as indicated.
  • Performs risk assessment and intervention,
  • Provides behavioral health consultation to members of the multi-disciplinary clinical team and to correctional personnel as directed.
  • Performs crisis intervention and de-escalation as indicated.
  • Supports and/or direct care coordination efforts for patients returning to the community requiring ongoing behavioral health services.
  • Initiates, completes, and maintains patient treatment plans.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects. May direct special projects as requested.
  • Participates in and conducts in-service training programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff.
  • Provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
