Regional Director, Facilities Management over 5 hospital regions within BJC HealthCare

This leader will oversee and lead the facilities management for 5 hospital regions and multiple locations across the St. Louis area.

Role Purpose

The Director provides leadership in the development and execution of the $150M Strategic Campus Plan and all other major capital construction projects . Directs the preparation, authorization, and execution of capital projects and is accountable for cost, schedule, and functionality of the projects through completion of construction. Ensures that all major capital projects are supportive to the strategic direction and needs of the HSO. The Director facilitates the strategic planning process for the HSO.

Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Develops strategic facilities plans to support the long term future needs of the organization.
  • Executes multiple major projects with accountability for cost, schedule, and functional performance of the facilities constructed.
  • Directs the development of major capital projects.
  • Directs the selection of design professionals on projects and the contracting methodology for their engagement.
  • Leads facility services' continuous quality improvement processes to achieve best value provider performance, ensure steady progress toward constituent satisfaction goals and ensures compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
