Job description

1.Communicates with Millwrights and others to perform job tasks.
2. Installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments


3. Dismantles machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
4.

Moves machinery and equipment, using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
5. Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools.


6. Drills holes, aligns machines and equipment, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs indicators, A-lines and lasers.
7.

Assembles machines and bolts, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundations or other structures, using hand tools and power tools.
8. Measures, cuts and installs hangers, using hand tools and ladders.


9. Unload, materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
10.

May assist in rigging, lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
11. Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment.


12. Adheres to all safety procedures.
13.

Typically requires a minimum of 6 months industrial construction experience.
