The Solutions Engineer (SE) will serve as a regional technical expert and product portfolio manager for assigned technologies in the Americas. Acting as a strategic liaison between regional teams and Global Headquarters, the SE will gather market feedback, competitive insights, and customer needs to inform product development. This role bridges R&D, sales, and support - from early product inception through launch, implementation, and next-generation iterations. SEs deliver deep technical expertise to customers and internal teams through content creation, training, pre-sales support, thought leadership, and field engagement, while continuously feeding market intelligence back into product roadmaps.

What you'll do here as Solutions Engineer?

  • Collect and synthesize market trends and customer feedback, use cases, and feature requests to inform global product roadmap priorities

  • Operate as subject matter expert on assigned technology features and capabilities

  • Support the creation and distribution of technical content within the Americas

  • Analyze portfolio sales performance, feature releases, and market trends to inform regional strategy

  • Understand competitive landscape on assigned technologies

  • Support pre-sales and professional services activities, including field work and visits

  • Support pilots and proof of concept implementations when relevant

  • Represent Axis at both internal and external speaking opportunities when appropriate

  • Work in lock step with product marketing and Academy to assist with messaging around technologies for the local market

  • Act as a technical liaison for Area Technical teams; assisting with technical knowledge transfer and supporting large or complex pre-sales projects

We'd love to hear that you have/are:

  • Experience with computer networking infrastructure technologies

  • Knowledge of video transport streaming protocols and compression technologies

  • Experience in IP Networking covering LAN and WAN hardware (routers, firewalls etc.) configuration, low level protocol knowledge (RTP, TCP/IP, UDP) and experience with IGMP and multicasting

  • 5+ years' experience in physical security industry

  • B.S. degree in computer science or related field preferred

Location & Travel:

This role is based in our Chelmsford, MA office; remote consideration for the right candidate living proximate to an international airport and willing to perform job responsibilities during Eastern Time Zone business hours. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to travel, including internationally, up to a maximum of 50%.

Target Salary:

The approximate pay range for this role is $125,000 - $135,000 annually.Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
