    A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Manufacturing Tech Specialist to support microelectronics production by operating and maintaining thin film and thick film manufacturing equipment, performing semiconductor fabrication processes, supporting new product introduction, monitoring process performance, and driving continuous process improvements while ensuring product quality, cleanroom compliance, and manufacturing efficiency.

    Manufacturing Tech Specialist Responsibilities:

    • Operate, monitor, maintain, qualify, and optimize thin film, thick film, and wafer fabrication equipment by performing sputtering, PVD, photolithography, etching, screen printing, drying, firing, curing, inspection, and other manufacturing processes supporting production, engineering, development, and new product introduction activities.
    • Monitor critical process parameters, perform metrology and inspection activities, analyze manufacturing data, and assist with process characterization, capability studies, Design of Experiments (DOE), yield improvement, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and product qualification efforts.
    • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, travelers, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation while maintaining accurate production records, maintenance logs, and process documentation within manufacturing systems.
    • Troubleshoot equipment, process, and product issues; identify opportunities to improve equipment uptime, process capability, product yield, throughput, and operational efficiency while communicating concerns through established escalation procedures.
    • Maintain cleanroom, contamination control, ESD, chemical safety, environmental, quality, regulatory, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S standards throughout manufacturing operations.

    Manufacturing Tech Specialist Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in microelectronics, semiconductor processing, electronic manufacturing, hybrid circuit fabrication, or a related technical field.
    • Associate degree, technical certification, or military technical training is preferred.
    • Experience operating thin film deposition equipment, including sputtering, PVD, vacuum systems, and related coating technologies.
    • Experience with photolithography, etching, wafer fabrication equipment, thick film manufacturing processes, screen printing, conductor printing, resistor printing, dielectric applications, firing operations, furnaces, curing systems, laser trim equipment, and automated process tools.
    • Knowledge of hybrid microelectronics manufacturing, ceramic substrate technologies, vacuum systems, gas delivery systems, contamination control, Statistical Process Control (SPC), ESD practices, and cleanroom manufacturing environments.
    • Experience using metrology equipment including profilometers, optical microscopes, sheet resistance systems, thickness measurement tools, and precision measuring instruments.
    • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process-related equipment issues.
    • Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft Office applications.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Must meet ITAR requirements.

    Shift:

    • Start time is 7:00 am. Usually, a 1-hour lunch about 1/2 way through the shift.
