Overview
General Manager in Training - GA/TN/KY
At Apex Service Partners, we're offering a unique opportunity for a driven leader to develop alongside a top-performing General Manager and gain hands-on experience running a successful trades business before stepping into a General Manager role of your own.
You'll start by owning a department within one of our most successful brands, where you'll gain hands-on experience in managing operations, driving financial results, and leading people. Once ready, you'll transition into a leadership role at a newly acquired brand, where you'll play a key role in everything from hiring and team development to financial strategy, operational improvements and long-term growth.
Location Details: We're building a best-in-class leadership team, you must be open to relocation within the Southeast including Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina.
What You'll Do
  • Train under an experienced General Manager and learn Apex's operating playbook
  • Take ownership of a department and lead day-to-day operations
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive key performance metrics
  • Deliver a "gold standard" of service through coaching, training, accountability and data-driven decision-making
  • Build a high-performance culture that fosters engagement, retention, and team development
  • Lead efforts to grow the team and create upward mobility through skill development and career pathing
  • Manage financial activities including budgeting and forecasting, with full accountability for P&L performance
  • Serve as a visible, hands-on leader, with daily in-person presence required

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Direct P&L ownership preferred, or strong operational exposure
  • Playbook-driven leadership style with a bias for action
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • High energy, adaptability, and a proven ability to deliver results
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Deep respect for the Skilled Trades or similar people-focused industries
