Aquent, a leading talent solutions partner, is thrilled to connect passionate design professionals with an exciting opportunity to shape the future of retail environments for a globally recognized brand. This role offers a unique chance to make a significant impact by transforming creative visions into tangible, immersive shopping experiences that captivate customers and elevate brand identity. As a key contributor, you will play a pivotal role in designing spaces that are not only aesthetically compelling but also highly functional, directly influencing customer engagement and the brand's physical presence across numerous locations.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a talented professional to join a dynamic team dedicated to creating inspiring retail spaces. This role is central to translating innovative design concepts into practical, high-quality store designs. You will be instrumental in developing environments that resonate with brand standards while adapting to specific site requirements, ensuring a seamless and engaging customer journey. If you are a detail-oriented, creatively driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting, this is an incredible opportunity to leave your mark on a beloved brand's physical footprint.
What You'll Do
  • Develop comprehensive store layouts, detailed floor plans, striking storefront elevations, and realistic 3D renderings that consistently uphold brand standards.
  • Translate overarching design concepts into tailored retail solutions for individual locations, ensuring brand consistency across all implementations.
  • Generate and meticulously review construction drawings and shop drawings to guarantee accuracy and strict adherence to the intended design.
  • Collaborate closely with diverse internal teams, including construction, visual merchandising, operations, and purchasing, to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Oversee and coordinate external consultants and vendors, ensuring all design assets are delivered on schedule and to specification.
  • Effectively manage multiple design projects concurrently, guiding them through various stages of the design lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues that could impact project timelines, budgets, or design integrity.
  • Stay abreast of the latest retail design trends, innovative materials, and best practices in customer experience to inform and elevate design solutions.

What You Bring (Must-Have Qualifications)
  • Demonstrated experience in designing physical retail environments, including expertise in store planning, layout optimization, fixture design, and customer flow analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in 2D drafting and advanced 3D modeling and rendering techniques.
  • Proven ability to create, interpret, and critically review technical drawings and comprehensive construction documentation.
  • A track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, enabling clear and compelling articulation of design ideas.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality, precise work.
  • A collaborative mindset with extensive experience working effectively across various teams and stakeholder groups.

Technical Expertise
  • Proficiency in industry-standard drafting tools, such as AutoCAD or equivalent software.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software like SketchUp or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with drawing review tools (e.g., Bluebeam or similar applications).
  • Experience with creative suite tools (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign) or similar design software.
  • Working knowledge of standard presentation and productivity software.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • A degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related field.
  • Experience working within multi-location or high-volume retail environments.
  • Exposure to large-scale store rollout programs, prototype development, or scalable design systems.
  • Familiarity with various materials, fixture specifications, and millwork detailing.
