Job description

Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Policy Analyst focusing on the United States Air Force Europe and Air Force Africa (USAFE) to support Headquarters United States Air Force (HAF/A10). In this role, you will provide full-time, arms control subject-matter expertise to USAFE and other DAF units, supporting a full range of arms control activities, arms control policy formulation, development, and dissemination.

The HAF/A10 contract delivers technical, analytical, operational, programmatic, and planning subject-matter expertise to HAF/A10 and its component divisions to advance national security strategic plans, policies, concepts, and initiatives.

This is a full-time, on-site position located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities
  • An analysis detailing the likely impact of combined High-Explosive (HE) and Chemical Warfare (CW) attacks on the execution of Air Force OPLANs.
  • The development and delivery of updated chemical hazard duration tables for operational planning and risk management.
  • A formal recommendation and proposed Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for Radiation Area Detection and Monitoring.
  • A proposed organizational and operational structure for the Air Force to effectively operate within nuclear fallout environments.
  • An analysis of current wartime CBRNE-related base populace training materials, with formal recommendations for improvements.
  • An analysis of detector employment tactics for various base sizes and operating packages, resulting in recommended Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for current and projected CW detectors in an A2/AD environment.
  • A comprehensive technical analysis report on Air Force Counter-Biological Warfare capabilities, gaps, and recommendations.
  • The development of proposed performance specifications for Air Force CBRN equipment to inform future acquisition and modernization.
  • The development and delivery of concise, practical CBRNE-related guides for commanders.
  • A complete, self-contained exercise package designed to train units on responding to a combined HE-CW environment.
  • Emergent technical analysis on specific CBRN community topics as requested by government stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and be able to maintain itEducation: Bachelor's degreeYears of Experience: Twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include five (5) years of DoD experience

Preferred Qualifications:
