Products in this strategy are comprised of integrated high speed and precision signal chains targeted towards Industrial applications. The candidate will collaborate in evolving an industry leading the Industrial portfolio into new and more highly integrated market segments. The candidate will have the opportunity to define system level designs on chiplets working with high-speed CMOS and BiCMOS processes and collaborate closely with an experienced and motivated development team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual and with strong technical, analytical and communication skills.The Senior Principal System Architect Engineer will be responsible for defining products from concept through development to release. The candidate’s responsibilities will include system level product definition and architecture design along with direct collaboration with customers. An ideal candidate will possess knowledge of high speed converters, SERDES interfaces, digital algorithms, precision analog and high-speed transmitter/receiver knowledge. The candidate will also have excellent technical documentation skills and be able to communicate effectively across multiple organizations. Duties also include working directly with customers and evaluation engineers to compare and contrast simulation and lab results.**RESPONSIBILITIES:**More specifically, the candidate needs to contribute in the following areas:* Product Definition + Participate in the definition of new products with close collaboration with the Customers, Design and Marketing teams + Translate the customer problem statement into a system architecture definition comprising multiple technologies. + Provide recommendations on chiplet partitioning, processes, digital algorithms, and feature set for the new product to meet customer needs + Lead architecture and solution definitions for key products with the design team* Product Development + Assists in the development of product datasheets for complex Industrial products. + Attends and contributes to all product design reviews ensuring project system goals and customer requirements are being met + Interact with internal and external stakeholders including customers, partners, team members, and collaborating ADI business units. + Collaborating with the test and eval team on methods to characterize and measure new silicon performance over customer use cases + Interpreting the test/eval measurement data identifying silicon issues and debugging to root cause.* Product Promotion and Business Development + Participate in strategic business development and new product promotion + Attend customer meetings and lead generation of new project proposals* Product Support + Responsible for releasing a validated system design to production and will serve as a key interface to the customer and development team. + Assists in development of design collaterals to assist customers with designs, such as simulation models and detailed architecture guidelines + Support FAEs and local and remote Application Teams + Support customers with technical questions and troubleshooting of complex or unusual technical problems**Education & Experience:*** Minimum BSEE + 7 years of experience, Preferred MSEE (or equivalent) + 7 years of experience or PHD + 5 years of experience* The ideal candidate would have deep experience in system engineering in high speed converters, high speed digital interfaces including SERDES, analog circuits, chiplets and semiconductor IC processes is also beneficial.* Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals* Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work on large multi-discipline development teams.* Strong organizational skills and the ability to work to aggressive schedules.* Strong analytical skills. Ability to draw conclusions from complex data sets and summarize and present at a high level.*For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
