Job Title: ASSA Baseball Coach (All ASSA Locations)
Our Why: At All-Star Sports Academy (ASSA) we deliver impact through our mission - "Inspiring and mentoring young athletes to become successful individuals - one game, one lesson, and one player at a time."
All-Star Sports Academy Coaches are the face of our youth baseball teams. Coaches are responsible for coaching games, conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing student-athletes in-game strategies and techniques. Coaches are responsible for supporting additional programs, such as camps, and clinics, as directed by the General Manager. Finally, coaches must be willing to learn and deliver the All-Star Sports Academy curriculum positively and encouragingly. This is a non-exempt role that reports into their respective General Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
• Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises.
• Determines game strategy and roster/line-up.
• Models' sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
• Support and run programs with multiple players as directed by General Manager (Camps, Clinics, Teams).
• Deliver excellent service with a strong focus on hospitality and positive energy.
• Continuously learn the All-Star Sports Academy curriculum.
• Interact with youth athletes and their families with a focus on excellent customer service.
• Assist in facility set-up for programs, camps, clinics, team practices, and lessons.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma preferred
• Coaching, teaching, or instructing experience preferred
• Experience working with youth athletes or developing child-to-adolescent age groups
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive, energetic attitude
• Customer-oriented
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Team-oriented
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Must be able to be on feet for extended periods.
