Lead the Future of Florida’s Highways – Senior Highway Design Project Manager (Miami, FL)

One of our favorite clients, a nationally recognized engineering firm—renowned for its legacy in bridge and transportation infrastructure—is seeking a Highway Design Project Manager to join its Miami office.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex highway and roadway projects from concept through construction.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, particularly FDOT Districts Four and Six.
  • Oversee technical design elements including roadway geometry, drainage, traffic control, and more.
  • Prepare proposals, marketing materials, and cost estimates to support business development.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture.

What We’re Looking For
  • Licensed PE in Florida
  • 15+ years of experience in highway design, with a strong background in FDOT projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
  • Proven success managing multi-discipline projects, including those involving bridge replacements or rehabilitations.
  • Strong client relationships with FDOT and local agencies.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and Bentley OpenRoad Designer.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset.
