Job description

Adelphi is seeking an itinerant Art Therapist to provide services to students at a school district in Frederick County, Maryland.
The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide therapy services in accordance with established guidelines, school procedures, and standards of practice.

Requirements:
• Master’s-level preparation as an Art Therapist.
• Current credentialing through the Art Therapy Credentials Board.
• Current licensure as a Professional Art Therapist.
• Understanding of professional ethics and behaviors.
• Ability to provide individualized school-based services
• Ability to provide all art therapy materials and supplies needed for service delivery.

Responsibilities:
• Assess student needs and develop individualized art therapy treatment and intervention plans.
• Use therapeutic art interventions to address social, communication, emotional, physical, cognitive, sensory, and related functional needs.
• Serve students across all grades
• Provide services in person
• Travel between assigned schools or locations as needed
• Provide individual or group art therapy services based on student needs and applicable educational plans.
• Any other duties as assigned.
