Job description

Job Title: Credentialing Specialist
Duration: 6-12 months
Location: Remote 
Work Type:  
Rate: Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
 
Required Skills:
Top Skills Required :
• Coordinate initial and re credentialing for physicians and allied health providers.
• Perform primary source verification of education, licensure, training, and work history.
• Maintain accurate and up to date provider credentialing databases.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies (e.g., Joint Commission, NCQA, CMS).
• Prepare documentation for medical staff committees and support governance policies.
• Communicate with providers and internal stakeholders to obtain required documentation.

Qualifications
• Minimum 2 year recent experience in medical staff or credentialing operations + 3 years total within the past 5 years.
• High school diploma or GED; higher education in healthcare administration preferred.
• Certification: CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) required
• Strong attention to detail, understanding of credentialing standards, and ability to manage sensitive information
