Zencare Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. Work Environment

As a mental health counselor at Zencare, you will work remotely, providing services via telehealth platforms and in-person at our outpatient office as needed. Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Mental Health Counselor, you will:

  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, documenting client cases from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.
  • Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health comprehensively, using this information to inform treatment strategies.
  • Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans that address the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing and personal growth.
  • Monitor client progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans when necessary to ensure therapeutic goals are being met.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to create comprehensive intervention strategies.
  • Coordinate with psychiatrists for clients who are hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care and thorough follow-up post-discharge.
  • Identify and address behaviors that may hinder clients' recovery, providing proactive support to promote mental health stability.
  • Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve vary widely, encompassing individuals seeking help for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health conditions. Your expertise will help nurture their resilience and facilitate lasting change, with a focus on enhancing their quality of life. You will work extensively with clients in outpatient settings, employing both group and individual therapy methodologies to address diverse needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
  • A solid understanding of mental health diagnostics and evidence-based practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and collaborate with team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills that enable efficient documentation and case management.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be viewed favorably:

  • Experience working with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.
  • Knowledge of and experience in managing clients with co-occurring disorders, including substance use and mental health issues.
  • Familiarity with the guidelines and best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Insight into the pharmacological aspects of client care, particularly how prescribed medications impact mental health.
  • A history of providing support to families dealing with mental health challenges.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, inclusive of a sign-on bonus. In addition, we offer:
