Zencare Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews, documenting client cases from initial consultation through ongoing treatment phases.
  • Evaluate the mental, behavioral, and emotional health of clients, tailoring interventions based on individual needs.
  • Develop and implement effective intervention and recovery plans for diverse populations including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate enriching individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to foster healing and growth.
  • Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with allied health professionals, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, and social workers, to develop comprehensive care strategies.
  • Engage in regular follow-up with healthcare providers for clients who may require hospitalization or additional medical care.
  • Identify and mitigate any behaviors that may hinder client recovery, providing guidance and support to families and caregivers.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of clients who may face challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship issues. Your expertise in mental health will empower clients to navigate their unique circumstances and foster meaningful progress toward their personal goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated previous experience as a mental health counselor.
  • Experience with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, and managing telehealth services.
Preferred Experience
  • Proven experience working with complex mental health issues, including co-occurring disorders and addiction challenges.
  • Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and how prescribed medications may impact mental health.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills necessary for documenting cases and engaging with clients.
  • A compassionate, empathetic approach with outstanding interpersonal skills.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, alongside a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
