What We're Looking For:
The Senior Manager of Operational Excellence is responsible for leading initiatives to improve operational efficiency and enhance productivity within the organization. This role requires strategic thinking, a strong foundation in process improvement methodologies, process engineering, metrics management, data analysis, and the ability to manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The Senior Manager will plan, staff, organize, direct, and control projects to achieve continuous improvement goals, while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operational Strategy Execution: Support the development and execution of theoperational excellence strategy, aligning initiatives with organizational goals. Identify keyprocess improvement areas and contribute to the implementation roadmap.
- Process Optimization: Assess current operational processes to identify opportunitiesfor enhancement. Utilize Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies to optimizeworkflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve productivity. Establish plans to improveand/or develop processes.
- Data Analytics: Lead plans to gather, process, and interpret data, and providemeaningful insights and recommendations to improve business operations.
- Change Management: Implement change management strategies to facilitate theadoption of process improvements. Engage stakeholders, communicate effectively, andprovide necessary training and support to ensure successful transitions.
- Performance Management: Develop, track, and analyze performance operationalmetrics and KPIs to measure operational efficiency. Provide insights and data-drivenrecommendations to support decision-making processes. Orchestrate cross-functionallythe creation and implementation and of operational metrics reflecting processperformance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with leaders and teams acrossdepartments to ensure alignment of operational excellence initiatives with departmentalobjectives. Promote teamwork and collaboration to achieve shared goals.
- Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team of operationalexcellence professionals. Provide guidance, performance feedback, and developmentopportunities to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Continuous Improvement Culture: Advocate for a culture of continuous improvementthroughout the organization. Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops toencourage employee engagement and a mindset focused on ongoing enhancement.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree is preferred
- Minimum Work Experience: 6+ years
Key Skills and Competencies
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Lean SixSigma methodologies and tools.
- Management Experience: Proven ability tomanage teams and drive change initiatives.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skillswith the ability to utilize data and metrics forinformed decision-making.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonaland communication abilities to influence andcollaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
- Project Management: Strong projectmanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize andmanage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Continuous Improvement Certifications: LSS Blackbelt or Master Blackbelt certification required.
Incentive Compensation:
In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 15% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.Job Posting Statement:
