Job description

PURPOSE
The Strategic Business Representative will play a key role in driving business growth through strategic initiatives, lead generation, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong business development background, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. The Strategic Business Representative will be responsible for various aspects of the business, including business development, lead generation, onboarding, pricing, customer implementation, operations, account management, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's customer base.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and key industry partners.
• Collaborate with the sales team to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Lead Generation:
• Conduct market research to identify potential leads and market trends.
• Implement effective lead generation strategies to drive sales opportunities.
Onboarding:
• Facilitate the smooth onboarding of new customers, ensuring a seamless transition into our logistics solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements.
Pricing:
• Develop competitive and strategic pricing models to maximize profitability.
• Conduct pricing negotiations with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
Customer Implementation:
• Oversee the implementation process for new customers, ensuring a successful and efficient onboarding experience.
• Work closely with internal teams to address any client-specific requirements.
Operations:
• Collaborate with operations teams to optimize logistics processes and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
Account Management:
• Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients to drive customer retention and satisfaction.
• Address customer concerns and proactively identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Customer Experience:
• Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for clients.
• Gather customer feedback and collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve service quality.
• Consistently make in-person customer visits.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Competitive and motivated mindset with a passion for new business development
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, quota-driven, results-oriented environment
• Effective verbal and written communicator with a strong business acumen and intuition
• Self-starter with strong organization & presentation skills
• Attention to detail to drive profitability
• Ability to think strategically about the impact to the client's long-term business strategy
• Team-oriented peer that can work collaboratively with multiple different departments.
• Strong understanding of the WWEX product offering and has been with the company enough in tenure to acquire the necessary skillset.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, customer service
• 1+ experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain
• 6+ months of experience at WWEX preferred
