Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our modern hospital facility located in Campbell, California, equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic equipment and resources. You will work in a dynamic outpatient orthopedic department where collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including orthopedic surgeons and occupational therapists, is commonplace. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans by effectively implementing therapeutic interventions as directed.
  • Facilitate and guide patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper technique to maximize effectiveness and prevent injury.
  • Administer techniques such as ultrasound therapy, electrical stimulation, and manual therapies to assist in pain management and healing.
  • Monitor and document each patient’s progress meticulously, providing the supervising Physical Therapist with detailed updates on treatment effectiveness and patient responses.
  • Educate patients on their home exercise programs, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the confidentiality of patient records and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for all patients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with adults and seniors facing a range of orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and degenerative conditions. Your role is crucial in assisting patients not only to recover physically but also to regain confidence in their abilities, thereby significantly enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • An active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is essential.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information in an understandable manner to patients and their families.
  • A patient-centered and compassionate approach is vital to foster trusting relationships with our clients.
