This position is based onsite within a hospital setting, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Key Responsibilities
  • Implement tailored treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist, specifically addressing patients’ musculoskeletal conditions and goals.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, helping them restore functionality and mobility with an emphasis on safety and efficacy.
  • Utilize various modalities, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy, to enhance patient recovery.
  • Continuously monitor and document patient progress, using electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure thorough and secure documentation.
  • Educate patients on home exercise programs, emphasizing techniques for injury prevention and lifestyle enhancement.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes, fostering a team-oriented approach.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients at Work It PT predominantly consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We focus on creating individualized therapy regimens that cater to the specific needs of each patient, ensuring their rehabilitation experience is both effective and supportive. Qualifications
  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license from the state of California.

  • 2 years of practical experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, although we welcome new graduates with relevant clinical rotations.
  • Strong skills in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises, demonstrating proficiency in patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring a compassionate approach to patient interaction.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems, enhancing documentation accuracy and patient tracking.
  • Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation.
