JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Laboratory (PI: Karen Troy) at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team studying the role of biomechanics and mechanical loading in skeletal adaptation and injury. Our research combines biomechanics, quantitative image analysis, computational modeling, human physiology, and clinical investigation to advance the understanding of human bone adaptation, fracture prevention, overuse injuries, and rehabilitation. This work is currently supported by the National Institutes of Health.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Qualifications:
  • PhD or equivalent degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, kinesiology/movement sciences, or a related field

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Experience in quantitative image analysis, computational modeling, biomechanics (whole body and/or tissue mechanics), human physiology, or related areas

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • A strong publication record and commitment to scientific excellence.
