Job description

Put Your Mechanical Skills to Work in Aviation

Wisconsin Aviation is looking for an experienced, hands-on Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to join our Madison team at Dane County Regional Airport.

This isn't your typical mechanic position.  You'll work on a diverse fleet of specialized airport equipment, including aircraft tugs, fuel trucks, deicing equipment, ground power equipment, service vehicles, and other machinery that keeps a busy aviation operation moving.

We're looking for someone with a strong mechanical background who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and figuring out how to keep things running.  Previous aviation or GSE experience is not required.  Experience with automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, fleet, agricultural, industrial, or similar equipment can translate well to this position. The right person will be mechanically capable, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable troubleshooting problems independently. You'll need to be willing to work both in the shop and outdoors around an active airport operation.

Wisconsin Aviation offers:

  •  Competitive pay based on experience
  • Full-time employment
  • Benefits
  • Significant employee discounts on flight training
  • Training on specialized aviation equipment
  • Opportunities for professional growth
  • A unique, hands-on work environment at Dane County Regional Airport

If you're a mechanic who enjoys solving problems, working on a variety of equipment, and wants something different from the typical automotive or equipment shop, we'd like to hear from you.
