Job description

Position Overview

Wellness First Psychiatric Center is seeking a dedicated Remote Licensed Mental Health Therapist, holding an active license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW, to join our innovative team. This full-time telehealth position allows you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while making a substantial impact in the lives of individuals seeking mental health support. You'll facilitate emotional healing and personal development through evidence-based therapeutic practices, all while obtaining valuable experience in the growing field of teletherapy.

About the Organization

At Wellness First Psychiatric Center, we stand at the forefront of mental health care by providing accessible and compassionate online services. Our team of licensed professionals delivers virtual mental health support to individuals battling the stigma associated with mental illness. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment where every voice matters and where equity and inclusion are at the core of our mission. Our efforts empower our clients and team members to cultivate their true potential.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote, enabling you to work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection. Our telehealth facility allows you to engage with clients through secure live video sessions. Given the current landscape of mental health care, this virtual setting minimizes barriers to access while ensuring client confidentiality—a critical component of therapeutic practice. You will operate within a structured schedule of Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with no on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly live video therapy sessions, providing individualized evidence-based care to adult clients.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatric providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Utilize symptom self-assessments, functional improvements, and goal progress measures to monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Engage in ongoing consultations, seeking support from colleagues when faced with challenging cases to enhance treatment outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on supporting adult clients—individuals who seek therapeutic interventions to manage diverse mental health challenges. Your work will help clients achieve therapeutic milestones through self-discovery, resilience-building, and personal empowerment. As a compassionate listener and advocate, your engagement skills will play a vital role in fostering trust and facilitating their mental health journey.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a similar field is mandatory.
  • Must possess active state licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or PsyD.
  • Proficient in navigating telehealth platforms and using electronic health records (EHRs) to document and track client progress.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, exhibiting professionalism and empathy in all interactions.
  • Ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance during virtual sessions, upholding the therapeutic standards of care.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two to three years of experience providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, particularly in a telehealth setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using technology, particularly the Google suite and other digital communication tools.
  • A strong willingness to engage in continuous learning by participating in training for our evidenced-based treatment approaches, referred to as our care pathways.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of patients and an understanding of cultural competencies.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to attractive compensation, our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Health insurance plans that can be personalized through our partnership with Stride Health.
  • A retirement plan to assist in your long-term financial planning.
  • Generous paid time off to promote work-life balance and prevent burnout.
  • Opportunities for professional development and access to continuing education resources.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Wellness First Psychiatric Center, we believe in the growth of our employees. We provide a supportive environment for professional development, encouraging you to pursue further education and training. As our organization expands, you will have opportunities for career advancement, whether through leadership roles, specialized clinical tracks, or program development initiatives.

Why Join Our Team

Joining our team means being part of a committed group of mental health professionals dedicated to improving lives through our shared passion for mental wellness. You will contribute to meaningful work that directly enhances the quality of life for individuals, couples, and families. Moreover, our emphasis on collaboration and team support creates a rewarding work experience that recognizes and celebrates the unique contributions of each team member.

Application Information

If you are driven to make a positive impact in the lives of others and meet the qualifications outlined above, we invite you to apply for this dynamic role. To submit your application, please send your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and interest in contributing to our mission at Wellness First Psychiatric Center.
