Job description

Customer Services Representative

Position Summary:
Responsible for Customer order processing, updates and communication throughout the Customer order lifecycle. Works with Production and Supply Chain Management to obtain updates related to Customer orders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  1. Communicates with customers daily via phone and/or email regarding purchase orders, delivery dates, pricing, anticipated changes, and additional information as required.
  2. Reviews purchase orders for correct part numbers, delivery address, quantities, and pricing.
  3. Creates and schedules sales orders for shipment in ERP system.
  4. Verifies production status, inventory levels and receipt dates before scheduling orders for shipments.
  5. Responsible for customer communication via EDI, Customer Web Portals, and other communication tools as needed
  6. The ability to interact and communicate directly with Customers. Maintain a professional, courteous and respectful approach when dealing with Customer interactions. Written and verbal communication skills, work and attention to details are equally important.
  7. Communicates with Supply Chain, Production, Finance and other relevant departments on a daily basis

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, additional education desired
Two years customer service experience
Experience with SAP R3 or S4/HANA desirable
Knowledge and proficiency of:
  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and other Microsoft programs
  3. ERP and order entry transactions
  4. Follow ISO14001/9001, IATF/TS16949 processes, as required.
  5. Everyone has the responsibility and right to stop production or shipment if they suspect product does not meet quality requirements.

Ability to:
  1. Act professionally and courteous to customers at all times
  2. Solve problems
  3. Interact with other departments

Basic communication skills such as talking, seeing, and hearing are needed for frequent person-to-person contacts, and telephone usage.
